Whatever

'Twas before a few days...my auto driver was whizzing through the busy streets of  Hyderabad...Lakdi ka pul area..entertaining as ever. someone almost straight out of the movie Ten Commandments, swiftly took a turn with his bike with an expression as if he's rushing to save the world...fancy kinda Egyptian turban though...three gals clad in burkha on a scooter...hmmm impressive manuevouring...a Punjabi uncle with a pink turban sped up sloth fully, several women drove across the roads on 4 wheelers...
Just another usual day in the city of Charminar. The thought gave me quite a chilling moment of pondering. I think no other nation has this  vivid a mix of tongues n appearances n being. it's been so natural to coexist, sharing lives since ages. Don't know what's apparently making a difference now and why it seems that one group is after another.

With a sudden jerk, I woke up. In a country haunted by rapes in cab, women assaulted in public n private transports, a woman reaching her destination while she fell asleep in the auto is quite a feat. I grew up in neighborhood where the local people driving rickshaws (tricycles) took children to schools n colleges n brought them back home. All of us trusted , sure we trusted not because it didn't  have any value but it was priceless, still easy to trust.
Whatever happed to our cities and towns!!

And are we really done with our fair share of protests against such grotesque, inhumane acts? Maybe yes..maybe no..
Hmm..well but what to do with this pseudo freedom in declaring what "should be done" and "how degraded people are", if we ourselves practice double standards? If we as individuals still don't "get involved" when gals get humiliated by guys on roads, buses, trains? Couldn't quite figure out which part of our mind and body gets enhanced by knowing which Act in the law book could enforce punishment against the troublemakers or even better, what is the correct definition of an assault, if we don't teach our kids real honest standards, if we don't teach 'em to respect both the parents equally?

Unique!!

It's a remarkable thing how we can tend to misjudge in our daily lives. I mean, look around, there are tons of examples of how people thought something else for something else n concluded in a bad decision, sometimes the worst decision of the life.
How is it that day after day, we lull ourselves in believing something that's untrue and does not matter against something which is true and will matter not only to us but our surroundings as well.

Its tough to exercise decisions when we grow up with false senses of humility pumped into us. As opposed to thinking of ourselves less, we end up thinking less of ourselves. While, in a maturing society with a craving of all kinds of resources, one would rather be falsely humble than keep his pride; this mass behavior also produces a mass result wherein whole strings of generation are smeared with low self esteem. This typically is the case of thinking of ourselves as something that's less than what we are, not only as individuals but also as a group, as a society, we diminish our values much beyond sane limits.

Funnily, children don't exhibit this behavior since they are unable to understand pure worth in a true sense in their state of mind. They rather look at stuff only with the 'survival' glasses on, unlike the adults who "have to contribute" to the society in predestined orders and forms, at times not even knowing what they are good at.
While a virtue like humility is a strength to one's character, a false humility destroys not only an individual but also decays the society. The balance between self and society is indeed tough to achieve. While we wouldn't look forward to a society where 'I' rules, we wouldn't want our next generations to grow up in a blur not knowing what their true worth is and how the same can be shared with fellow beings for goodness multiplied!
It's marvelous to see the applicability of these thoughts as found in the Bible. Something that's described as apple of God's eyes, inscribed on His palms and made in His own image can't be as plain a thing as we make it to be. The creator is unique in all His senses, directions and attributes of His creation and it is indeed unique worth that He places in each one of them for them to really be the objects of His affection!

Nachos, curries and integration

Was at a get together with a few colleagues last night and 'twas fun! Bunch of English with a sporadic mix of Indians. We hit it off like usual. Business, programming, cryptography, family,   fancies etcetera, with only few of us speaking their minds and the rest speaking in their minds.
By the middle of starters, the miracle was evident, once so ever more. The fact that we came from different world-views altogether and still could produce sane products at work seemed almost like a miracle.
Nothing bares a man more than a dinner table. You can read his appetite, loss of appetite, even his hiding of his appetite and link it all with the bits and pieces he says and emotes and in due course you'd understand the ways he's familiar with and why he is the way he is.
So, you see, if people really gel at the dinner table, there rarely remains anything about the other that they can't appreciate. And that's what makes it so difficult, to dwell far away from clichéd conversations and really integrate at the dinner table where people come not only from various standpoints of life but from different kinds of lives altogether.
If you'd ever been in a grind of all mix ethnicities, you'd have a better view of what I am saying. Nonetheless, the divides exist and extend with not only geographies but also with schools of thoughts.
What makes it so difficult for us to appreciate what another thinks is funny or inspiring or mad or whatever?I could in the course of time come to align myself with the idea of the funny joke but then will I ever be able to gather all the right context behind it if I didn't belong to his place? Never. Will someone else from the other groups understand the humour I enjoy without knowing the exact point I narrated it from? Nopes.
And yet, this is what we do incessantly and practically, all our lives. Integration, with the world around us, while it chooses to accommodate us or deems us unacceptable. We are happy when a dialogue with the world around is successful and a communication is established and we grow remorse when there's no interface to hold a dialogue with.
Needless to say, our satisfaction and meaning of life seem to emerge out of such medley.
Is that really true? Who renders meaning to the medley as such?
Needless to say our satisfaction and meaning of life actually emerge from the maker of such medley.
We are truly happy when we connect to the true soul of the world around us and we grow remorse when we are don't see the meaning of happenings around us or are deceived to find a wrong meaning. Bad integration.
So, what if someone takes the pain to not only align me to the idea of the joke but also ingrain in me the complete version of the context that I was missing?
I will then be able to appreciate not only the joke but literally each and every thing that I am exposed to!
So, if someone could ingrain the infinite context of eternity in the time bound slices of whatever number of years of our lives, will we be able to live minus the things that produce despair in most of us? How will it be to live a life beyond the geographies we come from, the education and governing systems that we had subscribed to, the constant grill of comparison and peer pressures of our environs and even the seemingly unlimited but actually limited aspirations of our own minds!!
Sounds insane?

And yet, someone has done it years back. He took a piece of bread, blessed it, broke it and passed around the table. He also took a cup and after giving thanks passed it around the table again. And all who ate and drank of it literally partook a part of him who shared himself in the bread and in the cup. And by virtue of doing that, as if literally they were born again.
They were born again in the knowledge of not only the complete context but also learnt how to apply it in various circumstances.
They had partaken of the one who came to integrate them to the true soul of the world; so they appreciate their lives truly to the fullest, not only to their heart's content at present but also beyond the extent of their imagination of the present and times beyond.

**If you feel puzzled with the last paragraph and are curious, do google and find out the context!!

But the point is..

In the garden of Eden, if Eve ate the apple today, there'd be a thousand cameras rolling to cover the original shot..yikes...original sin.
There'd be 101 reconstructions of the act and all Adam and Eve's friends and cousins would have been interviewed on how they feel and how they are going to fund the project- Save Adam and Eve.
There'd be several blow by blow reports on happenings each day and 1001 industries would have sprung up. Information industry boom bringing the info of what's going on. Food industry boom serving you an apple like the one Eve had eaten or serving something she'd never tried. Entertainment industry boom producing movies on the lives of Adam and Eve or the way they brought diversity(by eating the apple that is) or the way they brought doom( again, by eating the apple).
Point is, there are zillion other useful information available, million other food items to delight your taste buds and trillion other things to entertain you.
Adam and Eve chose apple because regardless of whether less or more, they knew about the apple tree.

One of the deep roots of human nature is a curious fact, when we know something we become it.
It's amazing how the knowledge of good and evil didn't make us righteous but it made us more prone to guilt, first of having the fruit and then prone to all the evil that we were capable of but didn't know before and knew it now. So, even if we do or do not commit something wrong, it's a part of our systems just through the knowledge of it.
It's everywhere around me, it drives my gestures, it drives my thoughts it drives my life. It drives me.
But what if I had missed the point completely and had to look somewhere else to be really free of it!To be really me!

What could a man possibly do if he knew he could do just anything..anything he can imagine and that there's nothing to stop him from doing that thing?
Could he have murdered? Could he have raped? Or could he have dedicated himself to create the greatest piece of art? Or could he have created a life saving solution helping million other lives? If it doesn't chill your spine in excitement of probabilities at least about yourself, please don't read further.

What is freedom then and what does it really mean to be free?Does it mean not to have prohibition when I think something, do something, say something? Apparently yes, but what if my freedom obstructed someone else's freedom.
You see, to be really free, I have to free from others freedom also!
I should be free to do, say, think, act, be however I want and this should not stop someone else's saying, thinking, acting, being in whatever form and shape they want.
But inherently, how is that possible, we are all wired right?
We are people essentially linked to each other and how can we exist not influencing each other, not only in thoughts but also in deeds?
A person strangling and killing another person would be a murder but what would you call the phenomenon when someone is inspired to take his own life after listening someone speak of liberation in suicide or after watching a movie or reading  a book.
Will you call that a murder or at least an instigation?
No, because the influence (read: strangling) is invisible.

If I had guessed right, you had read through even after me telling you not to read further without a chilling spine! There maybe a rare few who'd take the advice and won't reach till this point. What does that mean? Answer is: Nothing. That's just a statistic.
Likewise, going back to the talk of influence, if we break our heads thinking how can we NOT influence another?
Answer is: Actually it doesn't matter, we're asking a wrong, unrelated question.

Point is, the invitation to freedom is also invisible. Seems rather ordinary and even pointless in the world of propaganda. But the point is, unless you find that seemingly unappealing point, you'd never know the truth behind the propaganda and hack yourself with unrelated questions.
So, there was a propaganda in the tree of good and evil and there's a zillion propaganda around us today.  The truth or the actual point in this case, however, is singular.
It existed then that day, in the garden of Eden and it exists now, everywhere around you.
The fact on that day was the same as it is today. Life was not in or around the apple tree, life was somewhere else. Life is not in or around the propaganda, life is somewhere else.

*Disclaimer: Ah yes, this ain't a milk hungry baby of a movement to introduce freedom, so a kind suggestion, might sound a tad bit rude but don't waste your energy personifying this. You might end up influencing another!
It might be a waste of time too, well ummm, maybe it's based on whether or not you have a life already :-P

Perception

Its a tricky thing, perception, isn't it? We tend to perceive based on what we already know.
Upon meeting something that beats our knowledge or imagination, we usually don't bother or boo it down.

Its quite the opposite of the cycle of diminishing returns; cycle of increasing returns, if I may call it so.
The more substantial stuff you know, the more you perceive not only through your vision but through all of your senses and as a result you increase the blob of your knowledge. Which then increases your desire to know more and then you perceive more and so on...
Very similar to how the body of a child grows physically.

Now, you need light and eyes for vision but for perception, you also need a mind.
A mind that is open to anything, vulnerable, inquisitive, relational and at the same time unattached. The mind of a child.
A child does not find monotony in regularity, he finds something new to explore every time he sees people, places, things, just because this new edge to various things existed always and remains to exist.

The Large Hadron Collider in the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN collides particles to form the finest kind of light.
This light, they say will reveal a world unknown to human eyes, the extra fine particles that create light (photos, as proven by Broglie) will bring about a different reality as it were.
In the allegory of the cave, Plato conceptualizes a world of shadows where three figures stand facing a wall in a cave on the opposite side of the source of light. They see their own shadows and perceive that as reality. They dot the i's and cross the t's defining rules for that world of shadows. One of the chaps, one day, finds out about the other world and facing the source of light and discovers that the world that he had given his life to is merely a world of shadows.
You can read the rest in The Republic where Plato had elaborated this allegory or in your own head full of imaginations, depending on what you want the end of the story to be!

So, we've thrown in quite a bit of a mix to understand the basics of understanding. You need a source of light, you need a window to seep the reflection of the light inside yourself, that's your eyes and you need a mind. You can then tweak the configurations of all these ingredients to a degree more or less, to reach a calibration of understanding or reality that you want around yourself.

But is that really all? What about the things around you, what if these 'things' are inherently incapable of reflecting the fine light produced?
Also, no matter how far you go to seep the light inside you, does it cover the full real estate of your body and soul?
And, is there a possibility to stretch your mind to the farthest degree possible? Or is it possible to have a new mind altogether?

Away from the verbiage, what I am really saying is, what if you enter a world where the objects are fully capable of the right reflection to enable you to see?
What if what you see enters not only your eyes but also your soul to the full extent?
What if you gain a new mind altogether which is able to process every single thing you see.
For now you see dimly, as if through a foggy mirror but on that day, you will know as you see someone face to face!

By the way, a diminishing cycle of perception also exists. You know less, so you perceive less, inducing boredom which then kills your appetite of knowing more and thus  the blob of your knowledge decreases. As a result you perceive less and so on...

Where are you today? Are you bound by the perception of rules in your head? Are you bored? Are you not bothered?Or are you really trying to perceive something new?
And lo!God said, let there be light and it was so! What have you seen today?

Rich!!

"3000 dollars!"...demanded the girl...and the deal was settled. Mr Edward Lewis gave away that amount in lieu of a few days company of Vivian and no one who had ever watched the movie Pretty Woman could forget her excitement and radiant face!
Wo, wait up, this ain't a movie review, nay, not a 101 version of a Strike a Deal course.

The amount that seemed trivial to one was almost the deal of a lifetime for the other .
Again, I am not re-establishing that the value of papers printed with the faces of our national leaders and historical monuments are different to different people.
What's freaking is that the same equation remains true for all the spheres of one's being!
The transactions and the rules in the monetary world are similar to the ones in the physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, spiritual world and anywhere else you look around. And I encourage you to try and discover/rediscover the analogies.
We have the filthy rich amongst us, the hard working rich, we have the survivors, the costcutters, the bankrupts, the ones who are below the poverty line and so on and so forth.
More plainly said, we have people who have been pampered emotionally and thus live on a high always, we have people who had lost some and gained some and have understood the trick to be emotionally rich, are investing in the right places and are quadrupling their returns manifold. We have people who spend emotions way much more than they can ever earn and end up pretty much surviving the borderline of depression and serious emotional and mental issues everyday, somehow; we have people who are so weary saving and cost cutting that they don't spend any emotion at all. We have people who had a lot emotionally but had lost it all due to a bad deal or bad housekeeping and of course we have those who are completely at mercy of someone else to be fed emotionally!

But how is all this so similar and can a general answer be found for problems across multiple spheres?
You could say, it's all about resource sharing and since that's unequal, the matters lead to transactions and some end up rich and some poor. You could try and set rules/organisations/policies, trigger and popularise ideas based on socialism, capitalism, bureaucratism and what not. Speaking of which, can't the extended version of feminism be likened to emotional bureaucratism? If there's fight for equality, it should be for equality amongst all, not whites vs blacks or men vs women. The most referred yet non existent entities in these fights ultimately are colours and body parts. I mean, come on...I won't start having rainbow coloured periods (meaning quite an excited and exotic imagery of an imaginary high end status) if I establish that I am equal dimensioned as a man! And if someone doesn't understand the simple facts of equality, that doesn't err...let's spare the example. I mean,I will be just what I am inherently, not less, not more.
Well, coming back, the question is, how do we become rich or how do we become poor? More so, can we 'become' as in turn rich or poor or is it a certain quality in us that propels us either to wealth or to poverty?(or maybe the absence of it doesn't propel us at all, so we remain stagnant at one place!)
What if there's a DIY version of this quality available, ready to be assembled?
It's plain and simple emulation after that. But what/who will you emulate?
What/who is truly rich, truly generates infinitely over and beyond what he gives away, spends without a budget and yet without an iota of regret?
Smell a treasure hunt? I'd bet when you get the treasure, you'd wanna buy it with all you have coz you'd know it'd propel you towards all kinds of richness! Rise and shine alchemists!

Difficult............

What do you do when you deduce that something that you have experienced just now is something that you had not registered combating with before?
You struggle with some words to define your state of mind and a catchy yet sane statement to gist your experience but it constantly seems to freak you out.
Congratulations! You have reached a new challenge level in the game- Difficult.

Difficulty is faced by one and all in numerous walks of life and in zillion and one circumstances. It’s challenging for the mind to figure out the basic structure of difficulties during these circumstances.

Well, apparently, difficulties may seem as hardships or something burdensome but wait up; difficulties actually come in a brilliant camouflage.
Upon meeting a difficult situation/person/thing/whatever, the first ever bling alert that goes screaming in your head is: 'I don’t know what this is'. So, it must be something to do with prior knowledge of something, makes one prepared you see.
The next yelling statement is: 'I either don't have tools to address this or I can't find the tools to address this'. So, it must be something to do with absence or access to one's capabilities.
Beyond this, there can be three types of reactions:
Category A - 'I don’t like this and I don’t wanna do this'
Category B - 'I think I know just about a bit about this, let me try and start with that'
Category C - '----------------------'

Evidently, C is overwhelmed beyond the point of recovery. While A has clearly made his choice to jump off the trail, wherever the landing may be, in thin air or strong ground; B has decided to hold on, largely based on the truth/illusion that he's got a clue.

What all of them miss to spot is something what the camouflage of difficulty is made of. Let’s talk through this.
You’d agree that it's the time that makes something more difficult and something else not.
And you’d agree that trying times are merely difficult things happening constantly one after another. This statement is absolutely kiddish but think about it. What if I say, its time alone that makes a thing difficult? And what if you change the time itself?

Well, changing time may be distant but changing your sense of that time might be possible.
Sense of time depends pretty much on how you comprehend about the world around with your senses.
Your senses are directed also by your disposition and when you temporarily shift your disposition; you are actually able to shift time.

What we talked through is actually the decoding of difficulty.
When one is able to shift time, one is able to change disposition and in turn change senses and have a true perception about the world around and in turn finds that something difficult is actually manageable or easy!

By design, we have within us the inherent capacity to aptly respond to every situation, so a difficulty can then be reduced to reassurance camouflaged with time!
Reassurance that the tools to respond with are accessible within you and are operational.

That’s exactly what a child does...he is so reassured by just a pat from his mother that he loses the sense of difficulties even during utterly trying times of hunger, pain, loneliness, despair and fear.
The feeling of being absolutely grounded in someone triggers such a reassurance in him that he is just not bothered about the time and is able to tackle his difficulty better.

Don't believe it? Try remembering the number of times you used the word 'difficult' when you felt reassured constantly.
What does your reassurance look like…Self confidence? Spirituality? Religion? Fame? Family? Spouse? Friends? Entertainment? Vindication? Passion? Something that you haven’t figured out?

The closest you are to the truest and most lasting and bearing entity, the closest you are to reassurance.

The power of choice

The power of choice is an amazing thing, almost liberating, or so you'd think.
Think 'bout it, you have these unending vastness of merchandise, so called exquisite or so called cheap stuff that you could select or not select to calibrate the dials of your freedom.

Now, are there spaces and dimensions where you could be less or more free compared to other places? Bathtub vs business meeting eh?
More so, is this freedom dial customised for each of us, as in, do some have curbed dials and can some, on the other hand, express and exercise their freedom at ease, everywhere?
Physical and logical inhibitions like construction areas or libraries make sense. However, a mental inhibition is harder to crossover; it plainly means that something or someone has got hold of you, even if it's not visible!

Think about this, surfing through a day, we all have an agenda in our heads most of the time. But how discomforting an inhibition we accept when we choose to not share our agenda with others. Fear of misalignment, difficulty in expression, lack of interest in sharing, urge to conform, sheer planning etc, the reasons behind such inhibition may be many.
In an utopian world where everyone would speak their mind and relate to others in the exact way that's literally meant, what a riotous delight the conversations would be! Wait up, authenticity has a price to be paid. It's an unending ripple, chain of waves that are created when authenticity hits the waters of diluted intentions.

We are mostly caught up in the shores of such ripples. There may be a thousand thoughts floating around, a thousand ways in which a sentence that could be perceived. But we, uniquely or sometimes in a clichéd way choose the most believable explanation appealing to us at that time. This may be the correct explanation or may not be the truth at all, after all it's simply what we chose to perceive!

Misunderstandings, misconceptions, misjudgements, misdealing, mismatches, mistrusts, misdirections, mistakes and even misfortunes are attributed to choices that we simply missed or perceived as wrong choices or refused to choose due to our inhibitions.
It's quite like retail therapy. Misfits are all those purchases when I didn't pay attention to what I'd really look good in and what I really want to wear comfortably. A day well spent at the mall is simply the reverse, when I have a constructive and real opinions about myself while trying clothes and thus buy what I need.

Think bout it, how truly free are you to bend in all directions of true freedom. Free to learn and to endorse the truth? After all, life comes in three variants, with some learning (a.k.a success), with gold plated learning (a.k.a failure), with no learning.

About taste..

I learnt something new today. A child has the maximum number of taste buds.
As she grows up and experiences a consistent (spicy/sour/bland/blah) plate of taste, over the years, the original capability of some of her taste buds diminish in size and finally disappear resulting in a tongue that has a very defined palette of taste.
Quite opposite to a child who has the ability to recognise a huge variety of tastes and appreciate or for that matter, not appreciate them.
Ahem, maybe it's the same with our likings and choices as well.

Anyways, coming back to taste, arguably there may be almost 101 ways of making a food taste heavenly, the primary additional factors other than taste might be look & feel, aroma and memories. Why memories? Well, how many of you have had a chai/coffee from the same place year after year despite of knowing that there are many raving alternatives?
Now,considering all these factors and many more swimming in your head, as you read; you might come up with at least 3 food items/preparations, at the mention of which you drool. Why does that happen and why isn't your list grossly the same as the next door neighbour or the paperboy or your boss?
Apparently, something that's almost your appetising dream might be someone's nightmare. You both have acquired a certain kind of taste which is very individual, maybe as individual as your personality.
Even so, there are food items that appeal to many tongues and souls, not just one or few. In fact, some have a rare and huge fan following, both in terms of acceptance and reference. "You must taste Mr. X's sprout and micro greens, tastes heavenly and it has done me only good!".
How do you define good food? Like real good food that takes your mind on a ride of ecstasy and constant appreciation and brings you back with a pacifying satisfaction that you can't stop talking about. Sounds familiar? Am still talking about food and not of addiction of any form though.

As strange as it may sound, something ultimately extra ordinary also features as an item as a savoury relish.
Come taste and see that The Lord is good! One might/might not have ever experienced this aspect of God's nature, the fact that He is an absolute rare item you can delight in! One has to acquire a taste though, almost like acquiring taste for a preparation that won the Food competition, maybe you never quite fancied having it before. Maybe, you didn't know it existed or maybe some of the popular TV shows presented a really goofed up recipe of the preparation or maybe you had seen a really adulterated/mashed up version of it in your locality and didn't wanna try it just by the look of it!!

Original!

Original is an adjective used to describe something which was seen or felt or done et cetera for the first time in known history. Innovative, creative, authentic and real. By definition, this thing has a flavour of procreation, someone generating something one of a kind and maybe the first of the species.
How does one create an original piece of a thing? A song, a poem, a sculpture, a machine, a language even? What is it that inspires a man to create or innovate?
It's either something existing or a thought. Well, but then, a thought also exists, indeed in another realm of being (the metaphysical) , but still it does exist and for sure can be transformed and realised in the physical world.
Now then, if something existing inspires one to create a new type of a thing, shouldn't the so created 'thing' be a reflection of sum of all its inspirations?
In which case, won't it be right to say that it wasn't an original work at all since it's an assimilation of things transformed from various other existing things?
We all have a fair share of participating in innovation and we bestow credit to anyone who has been able to establish that he had thought of and built something which no one has ever thought of or materialised. But is it a true representation of facts?
In fact, shouldn't the copyright be given to the maker of the inspirations, rolled up right till the most (due to the absence of a better word) atomic level? Say, from the musician who composes a sonnet to the notes...right till the end, to the maker of music itself? From the scientist, the maker of a theory to hypotheses, to physically verifiable phenomena...right till the end, to the creator of all those phenomena. From the artist who puts together his thoughts in a painting to the colours and his perspective to the thoughts which induced the perspective and imagined those colours...right till the end, to the maker of colours and sense of beauty itself, the one who fashioned the dimensions of a thought itself? Anyone up for patents?

Of old boats & new horizons

There is a strange kind of love we have for things that do not change over a period of time. Old cities, old roads, old houses, old relationships all have their own charm; it's almost as if some unknown part of your senses are tickled to emotions, mostly happiness. In a world where things change almost at light speed, ultimately its endearing that the memories of you remain in the textures of a matter/material not your own, be it a city, a house or neurones.
Now, what you most probably don't get, is a frequent feel of this texture in your format of life.
Seemingly, people live quite a formatted life, big factors of the formatting might be the place you live, the job you do. Conversations, actions and even small gestures become so generic that in a blink, one can be placed in a certain social species or genre of being.
But even in the nostalgia that you experience living in your format, apparently it's another format that you long for through the nostalgia. I mean, I might not be the only person who hasn't found another place like the quiet steps by the river Ganges, in the small town that I'd grown up, that soothes the mind and soul like it does and there would be plenty others who haven't have had enough of their mother's version of the lentil soup. These are things that we'd been habituated to and it just feels right, more than anything.
Funnily, it's not only what you are habituated to or were associated with that bring your emotions to surface but also something that's completely new on your plate.
Since the format almost brings an inertia, it's the surf of new experiences that we happily ride, very contradictory to the nostalgia, as if almost relieved with the fact that life isn't that cliche after all, as if almost striving for a streak of individuality.
Its this fascinating combination of your formats and random wild card entries, as you see them, isn't it? And that's what makes people as typical as they always have been and as new as they can ever be! That's what makes life as usual as it's always been and as unpredictable as it can ever be!
The enduring love of the Creator never ceases, something that never changes. it was the same towards the creation yesterday, is today and will be in the days to come. But then, it's the old sun that dawns upon our new days and brings us the bounties of every new opportunity and experience that the day brings. His thoughts, His plans for us never changes and it never will but the journeys to the end of those thoughts through our physical and soul senses are breathtakingly new and abundantly available every second and extraordinarily, are never the same!
So, have you stopped by today, for the sight of a new card tucked in the super reassured features of your formatted life?

Lullabies

Lullubies

Them and me..
Me and them..
Similar yet so different

Twas the same walls around us
Living this moment and the other
Laid heads under the same roof waiting for dawn

They don't shout Halleluijahs
And I don't kiss the Quran

We'd been there for each other
whispered comforts in prayer
Looked out for the other in rain and in sun

Yet,they never sang Halleluijahs
And I didn't kiss the Quran

While I understood a lot (or so I thought)
They always seemed to offer more than I could take
Almost beating my imagination

Actually, they never prayed Halleluijahs
And I didn't kiss the Quran

It's not the pain while we parted
No, it's not even the tears
It's not the touch of those tiny hands
It's not the pastel memoirs

Perhaps, it's the lullabies
That I'll crave for through the years
Cuz it's not them that slept, while I sang
I'd put to sleep my own fears

I'd put to sleep my own fears on those nights
That there existed another world
Where them and me were so different
Identified by mere words
Words denoting color, words denoting speech
Words fanciful but words without the slightest reach
Slightest reach to the music that plays
when chords of hearts are strung
Remote, distant, light years away
melodies completely unsung

I don't know if they'd breathe Halleluijahs
I don't know if I'd ever kiss the Quran
But since when did God exist in expressions?
I tasted his presence when all was said and done

Sometimes the answer to our questions is just the distance between what the question is and what the question is REALLY!
Every person wants something or the other. In the journey of his thoughts, he realizes that he has either the things of his dream seemingly nearby or seemingly distant. What he doesn't realize is the way these thoughts and desires had become his unspoken prayer all through the life that he has lived until then.
How does a man decide that he wants something and only that thing and precisely nothing else, maybe not even something similar? He of course, senses an absence of that thing and an absolute idea that only getting the thing that he wants, will fulfill him in a sense that he wants to be looked at by others. In fact that is how he intends to look at himself as well.
He imagines that this thing of his desire must be, his liberation, his sense of life, literally.

Strangely, due to the context the man is in and the constant feed that he gets from the outer world and how he spins the web of thoughts, however strong or fragile or vivid or lackluster it may be, dictate this absolute idea of want of that thing.
How would he have thought if he was in a world without prior examples or without the history of any past achievement of anybody or without a rule book of the society citing the measures of a "good" life?
A baby, when it cries does not have possibly an iota of the knowledge what's causing her the pain. Weirdly, it's her mother who figures it out and tries to answer the problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But, amazingly until the child learns to know what she is lacking, food or sleep or attention or blah, and until she has the right words to express it, she's left to be interpreted by her mother.
Now when does a man really know what he wants and what he is really lacking; it's when he knows what he is and what he really has. Without a proper estimation of his present scenario he's unable to deduce correctly the things that he lacks.
Sadly, lives pass by and generations bid goodbye to the preceding ones, but in truth, a man passes amiss the post where he could learn in real sense what is his state and thus know what he really needs.
The confusion in all this is either overbearing enough to destroy a life or apparently entertaining enough adrenaline to drive on, in the madness of the confusion itself.
Thankfully, some solutions present themselves even before problems appear, perhaps in the anticipation of the problem. Relationships, understanding that's brought about when one life truly intertwines with another shows a lot. As if like a magic, you discover that the things you had always wanted were thoughts in the air and what you presently have and truly enjoy is what you actually wanted.
Like an answered prayer,in a moment of bliss, you discover that what you had desired before was actually a prayer amiss! And in the journey so far, you now have realized what you need and that's what your soul now wants. If a sense of fulfillment is brought about in one part of your life, how magnanimous an achievement will it be to experience this in all the spheres of your life!
The invisible thread of joining our real desires and destinies to us is woven by some grand weaver, He designs us, propels us, prepares us as we are ultimately left in His hands like a roll of silk is spun in the loom. What comes out in the process is so much in accordance to your tastes that you cannot but laugh and cry at the same time, imagining the otherwise foolish end the road could have hit, had you not desired to know what you stand for really, had you not desired to know the best reason behind your existence! Sometimes, the answer to your prayers is the distance of your thoughts from what you need to what you need ACTUALLY.
