But the point is..

In the garden of Eden, if Eve ate the apple today, there'd be a thousand cameras rolling to cover the original shot..yikes...original sin.
There'd be 101 reconstructions of the act and all Adam and Eve's friends and cousins would have been interviewed on how they feel and how they are going to fund the project- Save Adam and Eve.
There'd be several blow by blow reports on happenings each day and 1001 industries would have sprung up. Information industry boom bringing the info of what's going on. Food industry boom serving you an apple like the one Eve had eaten or serving something she'd never tried. Entertainment industry boom producing movies on the lives of Adam and Eve or the way they brought diversity(by eating the apple that is) or the way they brought doom( again, by eating the apple).
Point is, there are zillion other useful information available, million other food items to delight your taste buds and trillion other things to entertain you.
Adam and Eve chose apple because regardless of whether less or more, they knew about the apple tree.

One of the deep roots of human nature is a curious fact, when we know something we become it.
It's amazing how the knowledge of good and evil didn't make us righteous but it made us more prone to guilt, first of having the fruit and then prone to all the evil that we were capable of but didn't know before and knew it now. So, even if we do or do not commit something wrong, it's a part of our systems just through the knowledge of it.
It's everywhere around me, it drives my gestures, it drives my thoughts it drives my life. It drives me.
But what if I had missed the point completely and had to look somewhere else to be really free of it!To be really me!

What could a man possibly do if he knew he could do just anything..anything he can imagine and that there's nothing to stop him from doing that thing?
Could he have murdered? Could he have raped? Or could he have dedicated himself to create the greatest piece of art? Or could he have created a life saving solution helping million other lives? If it doesn't chill your spine in excitement of probabilities at least about yourself, please don't read further.

What is freedom then and what does it really mean to be free?Does it mean not to have prohibition when I think something, do something, say something? Apparently yes, but what if my freedom obstructed someone else's freedom.
You see, to be really free, I have to free from others freedom also!
I should be free to do, say, think, act, be however I want and this should not stop someone else's saying, thinking, acting, being in whatever form and shape they want.
But inherently, how is that possible, we are all wired right?
We are people essentially linked to each other and how can we exist not influencing each other, not only in thoughts but also in deeds?
A person strangling and killing another person would be a murder but what would you call the phenomenon when someone is inspired to take his own life after listening someone speak of liberation in suicide or after watching a movie or reading  a book.
Will you call that a murder or at least an instigation?
No, because the influence (read: strangling) is invisible.

If I had guessed right, you had read through even after me telling you not to read further without a chilling spine! There maybe a rare few who'd take the advice and won't reach till this point. What does that mean? Answer is: Nothing. That's just a statistic.
Likewise, going back to the talk of influence, if we break our heads thinking how can we NOT influence another?
Answer is: Actually it doesn't matter, we're asking a wrong, unrelated question.

Point is, the invitation to freedom is also invisible. Seems rather ordinary and even pointless in the world of propaganda. But the point is, unless you find that seemingly unappealing point, you'd never know the truth behind the propaganda and hack yourself with unrelated questions.
So, there was a propaganda in the tree of good and evil and there's a zillion propaganda around us today.  The truth or the actual point in this case, however, is singular.
It existed then that day, in the garden of Eden and it exists now, everywhere around you.
The fact on that day was the same as it is today. Life was not in or around the apple tree, life was somewhere else. Life is not in or around the propaganda, life is somewhere else.

*Disclaimer: Ah yes, this ain't a milk hungry baby of a movement to introduce freedom, so a kind suggestion, might sound a tad bit rude but don't waste your energy personifying this. You might end up influencing another!
It might be a waste of time too, well ummm, maybe it's based on whether or not you have a life already :-P

Perception

Its a tricky thing, perception, isn't it? We tend to perceive based on what we already know.
Upon meeting something that beats our knowledge or imagination, we usually don't bother or boo it down.

Its quite the opposite of the cycle of diminishing returns; cycle of increasing returns, if I may call it so.
The more substantial stuff you know, the more you perceive not only through your vision but through all of your senses and as a result you increase the blob of your knowledge. Which then increases your desire to know more and then you perceive more and so on...
Very similar to how the body of a child grows physically.

Now, you need light and eyes for vision but for perception, you also need a mind.
A mind that is open to anything, vulnerable, inquisitive, relational and at the same time unattached. The mind of a child.
A child does not find monotony in regularity, he finds something new to explore every time he sees people, places, things, just because this new edge to various things existed always and remains to exist.

The Large Hadron Collider in the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN collides particles to form the finest kind of light.
This light, they say will reveal a world unknown to human eyes, the extra fine particles that create light (photos, as proven by Broglie) will bring about a different reality as it were.
In the allegory of the cave, Plato conceptualizes a world of shadows where three figures stand facing a wall in a cave on the opposite side of the source of light. They see their own shadows and perceive that as reality. They dot the i's and cross the t's defining rules for that world of shadows. One of the chaps, one day, finds out about the other world and facing the source of light and discovers that the world that he had given his life to is merely a world of shadows.
You can read the rest in The Republic where Plato had elaborated this allegory or in your own head full of imaginations, depending on what you want the end of the story to be!

So, we've thrown in quite a bit of a mix to understand the basics of understanding. You need a source of light, you need a window to seep the reflection of the light inside yourself, that's your eyes and you need a mind. You can then tweak the configurations of all these ingredients to a degree more or less, to reach a calibration of understanding or reality that you want around yourself.

But is that really all? What about the things around you, what if these 'things' are inherently incapable of reflecting the fine light produced?
Also, no matter how far you go to seep the light inside you, does it cover the full real estate of your body and soul?
And, is there a possibility to stretch your mind to the farthest degree possible? Or is it possible to have a new mind altogether?

Away from the verbiage, what I am really saying is, what if you enter a world where the objects are fully capable of the right reflection to enable you to see?
What if what you see enters not only your eyes but also your soul to the full extent?
What if you gain a new mind altogether which is able to process every single thing you see.
For now you see dimly, as if through a foggy mirror but on that day, you will know as you see someone face to face!

By the way, a diminishing cycle of perception also exists. You know less, so you perceive less, inducing boredom which then kills your appetite of knowing more and thus  the blob of your knowledge decreases. As a result you perceive less and so on...

Where are you today? Are you bound by the perception of rules in your head? Are you bored? Are you not bothered?Or are you really trying to perceive something new?
And lo!God said, let there be light and it was so! What have you seen today?
