Of old boats & new horizons

There is a strange kind of love we have for things that do not change over a period of time. Old cities, old roads, old houses, old relationships all have their own charm; it's almost as if some unknown part of your senses are tickled to emotions, mostly happiness. In a world where things change almost at light speed, ultimately its endearing that the memories of you remain in the textures of a matter/material not your own, be it a city, a house or neurones.
Now, what you most probably don't get, is a frequent feel of this texture in your format of life.
Seemingly, people live quite a formatted life, big factors of the formatting might be the place you live, the job you do. Conversations, actions and even small gestures become so generic that in a blink, one can be placed in a certain social species or genre of being.
But even in the nostalgia that you experience living in your format, apparently it's another format that you long for through the nostalgia. I mean, I might not be the only person who hasn't found another place like the quiet steps by the river Ganges, in the small town that I'd grown up, that soothes the mind and soul like it does and there would be plenty others who haven't have had enough of their mother's version of the lentil soup. These are things that we'd been habituated to and it just feels right, more than anything.
Funnily, it's not only what you are habituated to or were associated with that bring your emotions to surface but also something that's completely new on your plate.
Since the format almost brings an inertia, it's the surf of new experiences that we happily ride, very contradictory to the nostalgia, as if almost relieved with the fact that life isn't that cliche after all, as if almost striving for a streak of individuality.
Its this fascinating combination of your formats and random wild card entries, as you see them, isn't it? And that's what makes people as typical as they always have been and as new as they can ever be! That's what makes life as usual as it's always been and as unpredictable as it can ever be!
The enduring love of the Creator never ceases, something that never changes. it was the same towards the creation yesterday, is today and will be in the days to come. But then, it's the old sun that dawns upon our new days and brings us the bounties of every new opportunity and experience that the day brings. His thoughts, His plans for us never changes and it never will but the journeys to the end of those thoughts through our physical and soul senses are breathtakingly new and abundantly available every second and extraordinarily, are never the same!
So, have you stopped by today, for the sight of a new card tucked in the super reassured features of your formatted life?
